In spring, the Orange Blossom is harvested from the sour orange tree. Originally from China and India, this variety of bitter orange trees was brought back by the Crusaders and introduced in Provence in the 11th century.
During Antiquity, this little white flower, symbol of fertility, purity and virginity, adorned the crowns of newlyweds. Today, the Grasse version of this tradition remainsa garland of orange flowers is offered to couples who get married during flowering.
Orange Blossom has always been used to fight against nervous tension or sleep disorders thanks to its calming, relaxing and soothing properties.
